A tribute to one of Matt’s greatest inspirations Japanese landscape artist Hokusai. Hokusai created some of the most well known Asian landscape paintings and woodcut prints ever assembled. Most people immediately recognize his “Great Wave” print, as it continues to be used today in advertisements and other print media. Known for defying conventional style, Hokusai often incorporated many western influences into his finished pieces. Most notably his creative and groundbreaking rendering of clouds. Matt designed this piece to blend his own style with the amazing style of Hokusai. This piece was created with colored pencil and ballpoint pen. This work is available as a framed print.
