A great example of Matt’s unique method of blending humorous realism with hip-hop influenced cartoon creatures. The image titled is a fun play on words. Oregon is well known historically for it’s own Oregon Trail, which played a vital part for the American pioneers and their journey to settle in the west. More recently Oregon is also known for its climate, which allows for a diverse population of snails and slugs. Thus The Oregon Snail was created, and since has become one of Matt’s highest selling pieces of all time. This work was created with colored pencil and ballpoint pen.
